Passenger Jet Crash-Lands at Toronto Pearson Airport, Flipping Upside Down.

Toronto, Canada: A Delta Air Lines flight carrying 80 passengers and crew crash-landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport this morning, flipping upside down upon impact. Emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene as plumes of smoke rose from the aircraft.

The flight, a Bombardier CRJ-900 traveling from Minneapolis, was attempting to land amid strong winds and heavy snow when it made a hard impact on the runway. According to eyewitnesses, the aircraft skidded sideways before flipping over, causing panic among those on board.

“The landing felt rough, then suddenly the plane was sliding, and before we knew it, we were upside down,” said John Nelson, a passenger who managed to escape through an emergency exit. “There was smoke and shouting everywhere. It was absolute chaos.”

Despite the severity of the crash, there were no reported fatalities. However, 18 people sustained injuries, with some requiring hospitalization. Emergency responders evacuated passengers within minutes, helping them navigate through the damaged aircraft.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, with early reports suggesting poor runway conditions and reduced visibility may have played a role. Airport operations were temporarily suspended, with two runways closed to facilitate emergency response efforts. Flights were rerouted to avoid further disruptions.

This incident marks the latest in a series of aviation mishaps in North America this year, raising concerns over flight safety in winter conditions. Aviation experts have called for a review of runway maintenance protocols and landing procedures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Passengers have since been provided assistance, with Delta Air Lines offering accommodations and support for those affected. Meanwhile, aviation authorities continue their investigation, seeking answers to how the routine landing turned into a terrifying ordeal.
